I really need to end this Bahamian trip, holiday & posts.  It has not been the ‘swanning around in clear blue water’ trip we imagined.

The bikini made only a few appearances, summer dresses unworn, winter jackets purchased, the after sun cream taunting me on the bathroom sink…pump lid still in tact so at least I can bring it home to our summer without it leaking through my luggage!

This is the water, we swam in ONCE…

There has been A LOT of sea sickness (littlest deer) and/or morning sickness {which I know is a good sign but on top of each other!…arrrgghhhh}.  We had to leave the Bahama’s after just 3 nights, due to bad weather, which was sure to build further, so we had to head to the mainland early.

Filling in the departure card for customs was miserable, they are going to think we are drug runners.  We traveled all the way from Australia and stayed only 3 nights in the Island’s.

I’m expecting all of us to be frisked, searched and questioned at the airport, and not in a civilised lovely upstairs part of the terminal, as we are not traveling in the pointy end of the plane this time.

To top things off we are here at a marina, trying to positively spend the last few nights before the loooong trip home and we are sitting on the back deck {in snow gear} listening to another boat playing testing their BOSE system on full volume, with our very own Peter Garrett’s Midnight Oil album!

I just want to click my heels…’there’s no place like home’!
